I was awarded a Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms Fellowship in August 2018 to learn how to bring the world to my classroom and my classroom to the world. This Fellowship includes a rigorous Global Education course, a symposium in Washington, DC, and an international field experience in Peru the summer of 2019. I intend to implement various perspectives, communication activities, and technology into my classroom as a result of my experiences. In 2019-2020, I hope to lead professional development workshops in my school district to facilitate global education throughout our schools.
Outside of teaching, I love traveling, spending time outdoors, including backpacking (especially in the Grand Canyon), as well as reading, calligraphy and doodling, writing, and letterpress printing. I am always interested in learning new things. I live with my husband and two daughters at mile high elevation in central Arizona.
